Mmm... Frappes

We began our morning with an attempted hike to the church on the top of the hill behind us. After running into multiple fences, we decided to open one that had a little latch. Our path quickly disappeared and we ended up making our own path through shrubs and prickly things. We didn’t make it to the church, but the view was beautiful!
Such beautiful views from our hike
Our little village of Marolas
We then went to the nearby town Rethenon, where it was arranged that the boys would meet us in the ‘old harbor’. We got lunch and had amazing donuts for dessert. Every place here makes us desert for free and all the Cretians (people that live on Crete, no I’m not making this up) are the nicest people. Somehow, we managed to find the boys. From there we walked up to a fortress not too far up a hill… with three suitcases and not too much after left and brought the boys back to the amazing villa (which I have learned is call the Villa Fokas, not Focus lol).
Everyone was a little excited that the boys all made it to Greece safe
After chillin in the pool and lounging on the rooftop during our siesta time (seems we have it about everyday in the late afternoon until dinner time at 9), we went back into town and had more delicious dinner. Basically this trip revolves around food and Frappes, which is awesome.
Check out that foam-- so good
Aryn and I have developed a love for ‘Frappes’, which is Nescafe (crappy instant coffee) that forms into delicious frothiness when shaken with a little water, then it’s put on ice with a little more water. Basically, it’s like a really frothy iced coffee that is amazinggg. Plus, it gets all frothy with no milk, which is great me cause I can have them. My mom even picked up a little whipper thing and Nescafe at the store so that Aryn and I can make them at the villa—we have perfected making them and I fully intend on getting a converter so that I can use the whipper thing in the states…
Yes, we do drink them at any hour...
