On the Arno

After class a few friends and I went back to the Arno River where out photography teacher had taken us last week. On our way over we saw this beautiful woman holding balloons and posing. Naturally being photography students, we whipped out our camera to take pics as everyone around us was also doing. A min or so later, someone came up and handed us a flyer with the woman's face and an address to a store for a designers new collection--- hands down the best gorilla marketing I have ever seen.
Love the guys face in the background
It had finally cooled down from three scorching hot days (about 100 degrees, no clouds, no breeze) and was absolutely beautiful. A restaurant had just set up a bar/ restaurant on the dam with lots of tables and chairs that was really cool. It was still early in the evening, so no one else was there except for us, the American bar tender we made friends with, and a couple random workers.
It was my favorite evening here so far. Great company, wine (although slightly terrible, I guess I should have bought a bottle that costs slightly more than 1.5 euros…) and a beautiful night.
All the necessities
Brielle!
Couldn't have asked for a better group of people to share this with!
Looking at the Ponte Vecchio
Later we went out to a bar/ club that was pretty fun! There was a huge Austrailan tour group there that was pretty funny. Later when we left, we found ‘the secret bakery’. It’s this bakery shop that is supposedly secret, yet everyone knows about it. You have to go after 1am, stand in line and be super quiet. A man opens the door, takes your order, and then returns a few moments later with freshly bakes donuts/ croissants/ etc, for only a euro! It was soo good.
