Today was a day full of sightseeing! I woke up and met up wit my friend Matt at the Medici chapels, went to the Bargello sculpture museum, grabbed amazing pizza and ate it in Piazza Republica, and then went to Santa Croche church. We did so much, but it was so much fun! Everything was really cool, and my sweet Rick Steves guide made all the sights way more interesting. I was surprised at how helpful the book was! It even told us how to get into Santa Croche the back way so we didn’t have to wait in lines or pay admission--- it was sweet.

Later that night, two of my friends and I went upstairs to my neighbors for dinner. The other night I met one of my neighbors, then ran into him and his roommate later that night and then again the following night. One’s Italian and the other are also from California. The Californian studied at culinary school here and is now a chef. He offered to make us dinner, so naturally I accepted! When my friends arrived at my apartment, a young guy and girl also walked in, whom we quickly found out were the chef’s cousins also from California, who also go to Cal Poly! I swear I keep having the most small world connections here, it’s so cool

Dinner was amazing! We had homemade spinach ravioli and delicious chicken. It was so much fun just talking with everyone, especially since I go to school with these two people that I met!
